Dr Sayanta Jana is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and a senior healthcare executive who has occupied key senior health executive positions within the Australian health system at various public and private healthcare organisations within Western Australia and as well as nationally. Dr Jana holds various academic appointments including an Adjunct Professor position at the University of Notre Dame and previously Curtin University Medical School.
Dr Jana also is an Associate Fellow and Certified Health Manager of the Australian College of Health Service Management and has a Master’s Degree in Health Management from the University of New South Wales and has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. For over 15 years, Dr Jana has been an ACHS Surveyor with the Australian Council of Healthcare Standards including Version 2 of the National Standards, a Lead Surveyor with the Postgraduate Medical Council of Western Australia and is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Dr Jana has been previously a Council Member on the Australian Medical Council representing all Australian Public and Private Hospitals 2014-2020.
Dr Jana is on the Board and Peer Reviewer of several leading medical journals including Emerald Group Publishing® – Leadership in Health Services and BMJ Case Reports, BMJ Open Quality, and BMJ Leader. Dr Jana is also a mentor and Executive Coach for upcoming clinician leaders within the health system and responsible for the delivery of several medical leadership programs. Dr Jana has a passion for medical education, and executive coaching, and is also a keen researcher participating in a range of clinical trials and he is also a board member of various ICT start-up MedTech companies. Dr Jana is a known philanthropist and has an active role in charity, giving and fundraising.
DR RENITA DLEEMA – DIRECTOR

Renita completed her Bachelors of Dental Surgery from A.B.Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, India in 2015. She subsequently moved to Perth in 2016 to pursue her Masters in Public Health from the University of Western Australia. Being absolutely passionate about Public Health, particularly among the rural and regional communities, she aims to create awareness and promote dental health across the wider community, and contribute to the society in every possible way.
Having volunteered at several events organised by the The Indo-Australian Healthcare Foundation Association, Renita now looks forward to actively participate and support the committee to make every event a great success. In her free time, Renita enjoys being outdoors and chances are that you will see her trying a different cuisine every week!
PROFESSOR YOGESAN KANAGASINGAM
Professor Yogesan Kanagasingam is highly recognised for his work in developing innovative technology for treating eye disease, and has received numerous honours and awards. He achieved a Fulbright Scholarship to Stanford University School of Medicine in 2011, where he worked on developing a non-invasive imaging device to screen premature babies for retinal abnormalities.
Dr Kanagasingam has developed e-Health and medical technologies from bench to bed and one of his inventions is used by NASA in the International Space Station. He invented a remote digital retinopathy device, which is being widely deployed to help identify diabetes and other early stage diseases.
Dr Kanagasingam has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers and four books in telemedicine and digital homecare. He also has a patent portfolio of more than 35 patent applications.
He was the national research director of the Australian Telehealth Research and Development Centre and worked at The University of Western Australia.
Dr Kanagasingam is a Visiting Scholar to Harvard University and Professor at the School of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame. In July 2021, Dr Kanagasingam was appointed the inaugural chair of Digital Health and Telemedicine at the University of Notre Dame Australia and will focus on building contemporary and cutting-edge practices in digital health and telehealth plans for St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospitals.
